What To Expect For New Patients

Blue

Our Team is Here for You.

Patients may experience fear or anxiety leading to the first consultation with a surgeon. We are here for you, with the goal of making your visit as comfortable and accommodating as possible.

A consultation with Dr. Deans' team is a thorough and comprehensive evaluation and examination. To achieve this goal, there are multiple medical providers involved in obtaining your medical history, reviewing your current health status, and obtaining appropriate diagnostics such as xrays or labs. This is accompanied with a few brief patient forms to complete prior to your visit, to enrich your evaluation and ensure we are aligned in your goals.

To assist us in fully understanding your history prior to your visit, our nurse team will ask that you will provide any important history associated with your hip or knees in the past. This may include past xrays or advanced imaging, operative reports, therapy notes, or outside surgeon clinical notes. Our promise to you -- any applicable information you provide prior to your visit will be reviewed thoroughly. However, it is very common that we will have additional clarifying questions and oftentimes wish to hear your history and experience in your own words, as well. â€‹

In the event further diagnostic testing is required after your initial consultation, follow-up will be timely after testing is complete and results have been shared with Dr. Deans' team. We strive to keep moving your care forward in a productive way to achieve your goals.

Most importantly, it is vital that you feel comfortable with your treating team. We will get to know each other through your initial consultation, ensuring we have an accurate understanding of your goals and that we are honestly and transparently sharing the capabilities of modern medicine and our surgical cares.

See our Missions, Values, & Objectives for a better understanding of our teams' aspirations in patient care.

Remember, we are partners in your care and require you to take ownership of your care and recovery, while we take ownership for how we assist you in your care and recovery.

Together, we can help you Regain your Mobility to Restore your Life.
